ETHAN'S SPIRIT OF THE MONTH

COCKTAILS

"COCKTAIL CUISINE"

Old Pultney

 

This little gem from the Northern Highlands may not carry the prominence of some of its neighbors, but the strength of this dram can be seen in its unsurpassed complexity and finesse. Born of humble beginning in a small fishing town, Old Pultney certainly relies on the oceanic influence that surrounds it, gently touched by the ocean air. This whisky offers remarkably bright acidity coupled with a full citrus body. A touch of smoke reveals the hidden flavors of honey and brine Lively, round, and just plain tasty.

The Dempsey

 

2 oz Gin

2 oz Calvados

1 dash Anise

2 dashes grenadine

touch of simple syrup

 

Put all ingredients into a shaker on ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. throw an orange peel in for garnish.


 

 

Lobster Roll

 

Prepare a mayonnaise with chopped capers, mix crawfish in.

Fill the soft bread bun with it and top the sandwich with a sliced Lobster tail
